In this blog post: "Five Ideas to be Productive and Even Earn Extra Income While Staying Home" we briefly explore topics covering hobbies, online income opportunities and personal budgeting.
Stay Home

Pretty much, everyone seems to be staying at home in the last several months or (should we say) since the the pandemic occurred. What could you have done right, right?

We know that we should try to do our best. And keep our lives going amid such a global health crisis.
Some of us are probably experiencing challenges with the way we lead our lives these days.

How do these circumstances we are facing - i.e. staying at home more than the usual length of time - could indeed keep our life going - other than the idea of staying safe?

Probably some of us have developed some new hobbies.

Some have looked into the possibility of becoming entrepreneurial.

Some have thought of exploring cooking foods at home.

Well, we could all agree- we could probably look at the brighter side of the situation.

Being at home could signal some opportunities. We just have to refocus our thoughts and embrace change.

Here are at least five ideas to be productive and even earn extra income from home:

  1. Think of any of your favourite activities or hobbies when you were young. What activity or hobby would you wish you would have pursued but did not because of lack of time - or simply you did not get a chance? Now is probably a good time to revisit that interest of yours.
  2. Explore ecommerce or online selling. Do you have some used items that that you would like to get rid of? You could resell items that are deemed to still have some value.
  3. Start a website. Start a blog. Write and document your experiences every single day or how often you could possibly write. You can probably monetize your blog and become an affiliate of your favourite merchants.
  4. Explore the idea of wellness and sustainability. Explore growing foods at home. Begin with the idea of sprouting. Explore here.
  5. Review your current personal finance situation. Need to learn how to budget or grow your knowledge in managing your money? Read some books on personal budgeting.
Of course, there are more ways we could think of. However, productivity would depend on the individual and their motivation and goal.

But it is always good to start with one step.
